Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) acknowledges experience and skills that a Swinburne student already possesses which may exempt them from subjects or modules within a postgraduate or TAFE course.
It relates specifically to learning outside the formal education and training system, with students able to gain recognition for knowledge obtained in the workplace (whether paid or voluntary employment), during informal training and even in roles undertaken at social or sporting clubs.
It is important to keep in mind that RPL will be granted at the time of enrolment.
