2009 SSAA Student Diary Cover Competition winner
The winner of the 2009 SSAA Student Diary Cover Competition is Yose Suprayogi. Yose is currently studying Interior Design in the Faculty of Design at the Prahran campus. Xi Kang's design came in a close second. Xi is currently doing Foundation Studies. Xi hopes then to go onto study Communication Design in the Faculty of Design at Prahran.
The theme for the 2009 Diary celebrates the International Year of Astronomy and the significant international profile Swinburne has in the area of astrophysics.

SSAA Board is proud to announce a $600 000 budget increase!

The SSAA Budget increases target a number of its key service delivery areas, and for the establishment of new initiatives, which will further enhance student life and student engagement at Swinburne.
$600 000 extra has been allocated to:

Scholarships for students elected to Swinburne and SSAA boards and committees who form the Student Consultative Network (SCN) and are part of the Vice Chancellor's Leadership Program, an arm of the SSAA Student Leadership and Volunteer Program.

Increasing social and cultural activities to improve both the number and quality of events and activities provided.

An increase in funding for student Clubs and Societies.
